International Exchange Programme - How to apply

We want your Liverpool Hope University adventure to start as soon as possible, so we strive to make the application process as quick and easy as possible.

If you would like to spend a Semester or a full year studying at Liverpool Hope, please follow the advice on this page. If you have any questions jut email us at internationalhub@hope.ac.uk

Partner Universities in EU countries

Liverpool Hope currently has links with over 20 European Universities, and exchanges are possible through the Erasmus+ scheme.

If you are studying with one of our Eu Partner Universities you should discuss your interest in studying at Liverpool Hope with your university's Exchange or Erasmus Coordinator. The Coordinator will help you to check that we can offer the courses you need to transfer credits back for your degree - if you are both happy, the Co-ordinator will nominate you to us.

At the nomination stage, we require a scan of your most recent official transcript of results. Please send, or ask your Coordinator to send it, to internationalhub@hope.ac.uk

Please note that places on the International Exchange Programme are very limited and nominations must be approved before you make your application. We will contact you if you have been accepted and ask you to proceed with the application.

Partner Universities in non-EU countries

Liverpool Hope has partnership agreements with a number of American universities including Ball State (Indiana), Hope (Michigan), Lock Haven (Pennsylvania), Alverno and the University of Mississippi, as well as partners in Mexico and Hong Kong.

If you are studying at one of our Partner Universities, you should discuss your interest in studying at Liverpool Hope with the Exchange Advisor at your university. The Advisor will help you to check that we can offer the courses you need to transfer credits back for your degree.

At the nomination stage, we require a scan of your most recent official transcript of results. Please send it, or ask your Advisor to send it, to internationalhub@hope.ac.uk

Please note that places on the International Exchange Programme are very limited and nominations have to be approved before you make your application. We will contact you if you are accepted and ask you to proceed with the application.

Not sure?

If you are unsure if your university is one of our Exchange partners, please ask your Coordinator or Advisor, or contact us at internationalhub@hope.ac.uk and we will confirm.

Application

We have listed below everything you need to apply. The Application Form and Course Selection Form are electronic documents, so, except for your Transcript, we do not need you to send us anything in hard copy or by email.

Making your Application

Please read the first two documents before completing the Application.

Telling us what courses you want to Study

Instructions about how to make your choices are included in the first section of the Course Catalogues.

Please complete the Course Selection Form after agreeing your final choices with your home Coordinator/Advisor.

Please complete the Course Selection form within two weeks of making your application. If there is a delay please let us know.

Timetable clashes

In order to avoid timetable clashes, we ask you to look at the Table of Teaching Days: Fall 2020/21 to check that you are not choosing classes that are taught on the same day. Instructions are on the document and there is a link to this in the Coure Selection Form.

What happens next?

After we recieve your application, we will send you a confirmation letter headed 'Short Term Study Visa Support Letter'. This will confirm the Programme name, the start and end dates and the fee if you choose to live on campus.
