Christmas vacation 2020
The University will be closing the campus for all except remaining residents from Friday 11th December.
The Sheppard-Worlock Library will close for request and collect and study spaces at 4pm on Friday 11th December. Mentor Services will also close for the Christmas period at this time and will resume Monday 11th January 2021.
Please place all requests for print books you may require over the Christmas period as early as possible. Books should be requested via the request option on OneSearch and will be issued to the 18th January 2021 and automatically renew after this date for up to 14 weeks. The request option will not be available from 11th December to 4th January when the libraries are closed.
Monday 14th - Friday 17th December - online support will continue to be available via AskaLibrarian@hope.ac.uk
Monday 21st December - Friday 1st January - all library services will be closed.
Monday 4th - Friday 8th January 2021 - The Sheppard-Worlock Library will be open 10:00am – 4:00pm for request and collect and study spaces.
Study spaces will be available 24/7 during the Christmas period in the Gateway foyer, Creative Campus and Aigburth Student Success zones. You will need your ID card to access these spaces.
Book return bins will be available in the Student Success Zones at Aigburth and Creative Campus. At Hope Park The Sheppard-Worlock book bin by the entrance will be available. You will need to have your ID card to swipe through the pedestrian entrance from Taggart Avenue.
Advent term opening
The Sheppard-Worlock Library is currently open to staff and students with Covid-19 restrictions in place, Monday - Friday 10:00am - 4:00pm during term until further notice. In addition, the library will be open Saturdays 28th November and 5th Dec 10:00am - 3:00pm.
The main entrance to The Sheppard-Worlock Library reopened Monday 23rd November and is swipe entry only, please being your Hope ID card for access.

Books can be returned through the Out-of-Hours Book Return bin outside the Sheppard-Worlock Library Monday - Friday, 8am - 6pm. Outside of these times please speak to staff at the Security Lodge.

The Gateway Foyer is currently open 24/7 for students who need a PC but please check with the University before making any journey as the situation may change.
